Tips On How To Crack Versant English Assessment Test In Any Interview

Share:

A Versant check is created simply to see/check the clarity of your voice. This doesn't embody the proper descriptive linguistics or how good and impressive your answers to the recorded questions are. This only focus on the CLARITY of your voice.

Following points should be kept in mind at the time of Test.

  1. DO NOT take call over the loud speaker. You have to pick up the receiver and talk. On loud speaker your recording will not be clear and you will lose marks.
  2. Be loud and clear on the call. Loud doesn’t mean you have to shout, but loud enough and be clear in the ever word you will pronounce.
  3. Do not fake your accent, Test will be in American accent but you do not have to imitate but just speak your normal English. You just have to understand what they are talking.
  4. I strongly suggest, you practice reading all 12 sentences in PART-A before you start taking the call, because you shouldn’t struck when it comes to actual call.
  5. When I say communication skills test, we are looking for fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary and sentence mastery which is divided overall in the paper.
  6. Do not try to write anything while the test is on.
  7. Please ensure that you are in a closed room with good VoIP phone.
  8. Be absolutely alert when you hear the recording.
  9. Focus. Ignore all distractions.
  10. Keep your patience. Do not give long pauses.
  11. If you miss something, don’t let that affect the next question.
  12. The test will go for 20 Mins, switch off your mobile while the test is on.

Sections: Versant Test will have the following Sections.

  • Part-A Reading: Please read the sentences as you are instructed.
  • Part-B: Repeat. Please repeat each sentence that you hear.
  • Part-C: Questions: Now please just give a simple answer to the questions.

Simple common sense based questions will be asked. You just have to give one word correct answer. For Ex: An Orange, a fruit or a vegetable, and your answer would be “fruit “or “a fruit”.

  • Part-D: Sentence building.

A jumbled sentence will come up and you will to re-arrange that sentence to form a correct one. Length of the sentence will go on increase as you move forward similar to Part-B. For Ex: “was reading…..my mother…. Her favorite magazine” and you re-frame it as “my mother was reading her favorite magazine”.

  • Part-E:

You will hear three questions about family life or personal choices. Each question will be spoken twice, followed by a beep. When you hear the beep, you will have 40 seconds to answer the question. You will hear another beep at the end of the 40 seconds.
